On Friday May 16/2025 A lecture was conducted to the students of grade 7 up till 11.
A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Maya Nahra - the Reference and Information Literacy Librarian from Lebanese American University (LAU) for her enriching visit to our school and for the insightful presentation on AI and ChatGPT in Education: Pros & Cons.
It was a special moment for us at MNC to welcome Mrs. Nahra as she is not only a professional librarian but also an alumna of our school. We are deeply grateful to LAU Libraries for this meaningful initiative to reach out to the broader community, especially we at the South, and for shedding light on such timely and important topics. Our students and teachers were truly engaged and excited by the discussion. They gained new knowledge and expressed a strong interest in learning more about research and academic subjects related to technology. It is clear there is a need for such educational encounters. We look forward to welcoming more future visits and exploring other impactful subjects together with Maya.
