Dear MNC community and friends

Founded in 1964, through the generosity and efforts of late Fadlo Hourani, Marjeyoun National College (MNC) Was, still and will be one of the rare schools in Lebanon with a mission statement saying:

“Marjeyoun National College is a non-sectarian, non-profit making school that has been providing educational and cultural services to the Marjeyuon-Hasbayya area and is governed by a board of trustees.

Its Mission: The school aspires to develop students’ personalities through locating individual talent and potential, encouraging creativity and ingenuity while drilling in the ethos of critical and analytical thinking. In addition, the school has taken it upon itself since day one to promote the national spirit among its students, as it considers education to be the primary factor in producing a citizen who is law abiding, tolerant, and open to other cultures and opinions.”

In my capacity as the new principal of MNC, I would like to welcome all followers of our site and ask them to share me thanking our ex-principal, Mr. Emad Khoury, for all his work and dedication in keeping our school an icon and a beacon in our area.

I am carrying the torch after Mr.Khoury and two giants who lead the school in difficult days, I meant the late Mr. Labib Gulmiyyah and the late Mr. Maurice Dabaghi. I am proud to say that I was a student of both, then a colleague as I worked under their supervision.

For those who don’t know me, I graduated from this school then got my university degree and worked as a physics teacher for 19 years at MNC but due to certain family circumstances I joined the International Collage in Beirut for 20 years.

Now I am back in my hometown and ready to maintain the school’s educational standards and mission statement that the administration, faculty and community are proud of.
